US Data Center Network Maintenance | Resolved |
Dear Customers, We are reaching out to inform you of a significant upgrade to our network infrastructure that is designed to enhance the quality and performance of our services in the US Data Center. On Wednesday, November 13th at 16:00 UTC we will begin announcing all of our US network prefixes over BGP directly ourselves instead of having them announced by Colohouse. This will ensure that we have better control over them and aims to improve network stability across our US Data Center services. Due to the nature of the work there will be several periods of complete or partial network unreachability, while network devices globally across the internet adjust to the newly propagated routes. We expect the maintenance to be completed within an hour, at which point all of the networks should be fully operational and reachable from everywhere. Date: Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 Start: 16:00 UTC Expected Maintenance Window: 1 Hour We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding. Sincerely, The Support Team |

Network connectivity issues with our US data center | Resolved |
Dear Customers, We are currently experiencing network connectivity issues at our U.S. data center, affecting email deliverability to Hotmail and Outlook services. Issue timeline: The issues started on the morning of October 31, 2024, EST, when the legacy DDoS protection vendor used by our US data center (NSFocus) stopped announcing all Colohouse-related routes without coordination. Once the prefixes were rerouted away from NSFocus, connectivity was restored. This was not communicated to us in any way, and since we currently have our data center announce some of our networks for us over BGP, we had no way of mitigating the issue on our own. We are still experiencing issues with routes related to Microsoft services, as these are unreachable over the data center's new ASN for all of our prefixes. As a result, our clients may not be able to send any emails to Hotmail or Outlook servers. The data center is actively working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Update as of 11.02.2024 Colohouse have proven out their network and their announcement of our routes to Microsoft systems. Our network blocks are being announced in the correct way. When they shift the traffic from either direct peering with Microsoft or via another transit provider they see the same results from Microsoft. Colohouse have opened a ticket with Microsoft to enquire what they are receiving from them and why they are not allowing traffic to come in. Traffic from our prefix ranges is not being affected by any other network, ie Google, Cloudflare, just Microsoft. We are waiting for Colohouse's response who in turn are waiting for a response from Microsoft. We will keep you posted on any updates as they become available. Update as of 11.03.2024
Sincerely, |
